Geometric Swimming Pool with Water Features on Isle of Palms, SC

This geometric swimming pool with water features is located on Isle of Palms, SC and is built by Aqua Blue Pools. The swimming pool is designed to provide the pool owners with the tranquil sound of running water, a place to lounge in the pool without being completely submerged, and relief from the sun. In order to accomplish what they desired Aqua Blue Pools constructed one of the swimming pool walls to a different height than the other pool walls so that the pool design would accommodate the sound effects the pool owner's wanted from their water features; and also provide the aesthetic appeal they needed to obtain. When building raised walls on swimming pools one has to consider the type of finish material that will be used for the fascia on the wall facing the pool... and in some instances the rear side of the raised wall may need to be finished with material to complete the look of the entire project.
Other special design features for this project include a sun ledge in the shallow end of the swimming pool. In this case, the first step acts as the sun ledge and provides the pool owners with an area where they can get relief from the heat. It also provides a great place for kids of all ages to relax and play!
So that the pool owners can have a place to escape from the sun while they're in the swimming pool, a hole with PVC pipe was added into the sun ledge so that an umbrella can be inserted to provide much needed shade from sunlight. |
