Aqua Blue Pools serves home owners and commercial property owners. The attention to design detail on the front end contributes to a positive outcome at the time of project completion. We have a team of dedicated and knowledgeable in-house designers to get you there. These individuals are artistic, creative and very familiar with requirements of local design review boards and municipalities. They understand each project is unique and requires a different skill set. This allows our designers to hone into your individual needs and give you exactly what you want and what is needed. Whether your project calls for a pool only, or if it includes a spa, water feature, fountain, splash pad, waterfall or any other unique feature – we have the most qualified experts on staff to assist. No matter how simple or complex the project is. Our team will guide you through the design process every step of the way so as not to miss any details.
The Design Process can vary for any project but always starts with establishing the footprint for your pool area which includes the pool itself, pool patio, and any other elements or accessory structures to be included in your outdoor space. One of our designers will be happy to have an initial phone conversation with you to discuss the parameters of your particular project. Afterwards you can schedule an appt. to meet at your site. They will be able to make suggestions, take measurements, check the best access route for your particular site and explain available options and provide a budget range. You can learn more about each stage of our design process below.
Establishing the footprint for the pool area – The first necessary step is determining the footprint for the space. A property survey is essential so we can be as accurate as possible. If you do not have one, we can discuss with you how to obtain one. The property survey will provide vital information telling us what we have to work with spatially and how it should be designed with regards to building codes and FEMA requirements. The survey will show all existing structures, decks, patios, driveway, etc. - located within the property lines. Also shown on the survey will be any setback lines for OCRM, utility easements or drainage easements, flood zone, lot coverage percentage, and so forth. These will all vary from property to property and you cannot visually see any of this information on the site where the pool is being installed.
Pool Design Concept & Budget Stage – Now the design for your swimming pool can begin. Here we will take you through a well thought out process to insure your pool design will provide you with everything you want and need for your outdoor space – within the budget you specify.
Pool Design Presentation, Design Modification & Approval – You will be invited into our design center to review your pool design, see the material options available, and make any necessary adjustments to your design and budget at that time. Our Charleston area and Bluffton area design centers offer full feature and material showcases for hands-on viewing and selection. This helps our clients tailor all the elements of their pool to embody the style they like.
Project Execution – Should you decide to hire Aqua Blue Pools to build your pool, your designer will execute a swimming pool agreement for your review and approval. The next steps related to your particular project will be discussed between you and your designer. We will create all construction drawings and submit all required documentation for HOA and local municipality approvals and permitting.
